Buttermilk Creek

Not having a car when I first at Cornell, the only park I could get to by bus was Buttermilk Falls State Park, which is where I went on this day. Like all of the areas around Ithaca, it's a beautiful area.

American Falls in Blue

Just before my graduation, Lydia, my then girlfriend, and I spent a weekend in Niagara Falls. While we spent a lot of our time at wineries tasting good ice wines, we also spent some time wandering around beautiful Niagara Falls. These are some of the night photos of the falls when they are lit up.

Watkins Glen

During the craziness of Senior Week, I went with friends to several of the wineries in the Finger Lakes, followed by the beautiful Watkins Glen State Park, and finishing with some of the waterfalls in the area. Here are a few photographs.

Avalanche Lake

Lydia, my then girlfriend, and I went on a weekend trip to the Adirondacks - the country's largest state park. We ended up staying at a bed and breakfast in the area of Keene Valley, a beautiful area that had lots of great hiking opportunities. The first day we were there we took the John's Brook Trail from Keene Valley itself, including a stop at Bushnell Falls, a somewhat hidden but nice waterfall along the trail. The water was freezing, even though it was the middle of June. The following day we hiked to Avalanche Lake, site of several avalanches throughout the years. The trip was a lot of fun and I would love to get back to the area sometime. It also made for some great photographs.

Switzer Falls

Today I went on a hike to Switzer Falls in the Angeles National Forest. Nothing too spectacular but it was a nice hike starting off in a forested area before going up to the side of a ridge and then down to the waterfall.
