Strawberry Peak
This wasn't the longest hike I've done, or the most elevation gain, or even probably the steepest. But it was definitely the craziest. The first part of the hike to Strawberry Peak via Colby Canyon was a good hike. Once you reach Josephine Saddle is where the fun really starts, since you go off a maintained trail, through rock fields, and eventually scramble up the final summit ascent. It was even worse coming down.
The picture of the outcropping (also to the left) is the trail, or more correctly, is the lack of a trail. To the right of that picture is a rock wall, and to the left is a several hundred foot drop, and straight ahead is the easiest ascent. Still, despite some interesting moments when we got lost, it was a lot of fun with amazing views of the San Gabriel Mountains.
